Takedown tournaments

I keep hearing guys talking about "takedown tournaments," what the heck are they? Does anyone know if/when they will be hosting one in the chattanooga area?

Usually it is a best of three takedowns. Its not like a real match, if you suck in referees its ok. they seem to be popular at camps. I'm going to the one at signal mountain high in like two weeks. the guy i do club with told me about it.

Basically they are just preseason tournaments that focus on takedowns only. At the first part of the year, thats what coaches focus on first. Usually they are 3 minute matches with a continuous clock. Kid with the most takedowns wins. They are mostly just to get the kids on the mat to get them excited about the year, and give the coaches a peek at what they need to work on before they get to their first match. Honestly don't know about any preseason tournaments going on in Chatt town, but if you want to head down to Nashville, we have one of the best in the state at Creek Wood on November 6th. I was told to be there at 8 for weigh-ins and that the entry fee is five bucks.

I was actually suggesting that because that is what our coach at Pigeon Forge did but whatever you want to think mikescott. You will fade out. You cant post 30 posts a day for the rest of the year.

coach foreman, the tigers, gatlinburg, sevierville, but i live in wears valley and i will tell you my kids name if you tell us yours and i never wrestled there
