howdoitknow
DISTRICT 11-AA STANDINGS 1.) Waverly (10-2): first round bye in tourney 2.) Harpeth (9-3): will open the tourney at home against Cheatham County 3.) Creek Wood (6-6): #3 if Stewart loses & #4 if Stewart wins 4.) Stewart County (5-6): #3 with win vs Camden & TBA with loss 5.) Montgomery Central (4-7): #5 with win vs Cheatham County + Stewart County win vs Camden 6.) Camden (4-7): #4 with win vs Stewart County; #6 with loss vs Stewart County 7.) Cheatham County (3-9): will open the tourney on the road against Harpeth Cheatham County hosts Montgomery Central tonight in a matchup that features one team that appears to be cruising in the right direction toward starting to compete in the district vs a once district favorite that is struggling to tread water at this stage of the season due to losing key players (Ravon Hardy & Gabe Sanchez). Camden travels to Stewart County in a matchup that could very likely take place once again at the end of the week. The Lions are coming off of a pair of losses to Cheatham County & Harpeth while the Rebels seem to have the inside track for the #3 seed at home thanks to a key come from behind win on the road Saturday night at Montgomery Central. deerhunter88
I have to believe that all the top seeds will advance past the first round. Harpeth should handle Cheatham and SC has been very good at home this year. CW-MC is the one matchup that is very interesting, but I give the advantage to CW since it is at their place, which is probably the toughest place to play in the district. ksgovols
12AA will have one game left among their top 4 teams by Friday when 11AA starts. They play their semi-final round on Thursday. They've used up more snow days than we have. Their coaches will be in the stands watching our teams play. What is up? Why can't we get this post season thing down? ptc
they don't have to come scout because they can get every game off i high.i do not believe they used as many snow days as st.co. and camden.scouting is overrated anyway. They will probably come to watch some of the tournament live and it is not a definite that the tournament will be on ihigh. We can go watch them play on Staurday at Hickman County. However KS makes a good point. I would like to see us get done sooner. It seems that would be better.
ksgovols
It's about setting up your district tournaments to maximize your legs in basketball and your pitching in baseball. The past 2 years 12AA has been done in both sports before we get started good in 11AA. Whether that's pushing back your regular season so that you can start on the first day that you're eligible to start district tournaments or playing weekend games, 12AA has a better grip on how to get their district tournaments out of the way early on in the process and be rested and ready to go when regions start.
