I hear Forrest returns a veteran team, while Clarkrange will rely on some talented young players. How does everyone see this shaking out?

Forrest returns 4 starters from last year's team. They can get up and down the floor and play good defense. Very quick. However, no height. What does Clarkrange have?

A good group of young athletes and a 6'5 center that should be a premier player in our area this year. If they can play strong defense and be patient on offense, they can be really good.

Both teams looked bad, while the Buffaloes looked really bad. What was their shooting percentage...3%...2%? Actually I'd be surprised if it was over 20%. They were just awful! But, they have talent and once they get into shape, I believe they'll be much better. It didn't count, so it is OK. They hussled...no slacking, but couldn't make their shots and looked disorganized.

While I will agree both teams shot poorly, I disagree that both teams are bad. I'm not sure there was that many uncontested shots and both teams gave only one shot because they grabbed the defensive rebounds very well. First game jitters, long trip, adjusting to new roles, etc. whatever the causes both teams are going to be successful as long as the continue to defend and rebound like they did tuesday. Game shots will come with experience. As far as the quote from the girls board about playing the girls instead of the boys, now thats funny and stupid. And by the way if you suit up, IT COUNTS.

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
