I think Moore County has a very strong team this year and certainly have an opportunity to win District.....However, as mentioned above, Forrest and Cascade may have something to say about that. I think you would be better off to say Moore County is predicted to win the District this year, but I don't believe they will go undefeated and it will not be easy........ Lots of basketball to play and certainly no team is a sure thing!! Play hard and without injury.....and I love my Lady Rockets, who continue to get stronger!!! Go Lady Rockets!!!!

They look real good this year.. They have breezed past everyone except cornersville.. And are predicted to be undefeated in district play..Any opinions

We'll see how good they are in a couple of weeks when they come to Jackson County to play in the Mid South Classic. They open with Shelbyville, should they win that game it should set up a rematch of the state championship against Jackson County. Win or lose you'll know alot more about what kind of team they have as there are no cupcakes up here :popcorneater:

Shelbyville girls look terrible this year..I went to the shelbyville-White co. game and both teams didnt look so great..Now jackson county game should be a tight one..Its going to come down to the end of that one

Jackson County has the #1 freshman in the state in Jaycee Coe. Her dad was a McDonalds All American and her mom played college ball as well. She is the real deal dropped 29 against Upperman the other night! Look out people JC is loaded again and not a senior on the roster!!! And before anyone says anything they are all home grown, just like the girls from our 4 in a row AA State Championship teams. I won't say it but this team is looking good! We will know alot more about this team this time next week as we will have played AT Upperman At Clarkrange and AT Livingston Academy back to back to back! Now that my friends is a tough schedule!!! :popcorneater:

Using your logic

Cascade only beat Richland by 7..and trailed much of the game, once by double digits I believe..

Moore County beat Richland by 29...

I say Moore County easily defeats Cascade

Figures lie and liers figure, whatever that means. My theory is as good as anyones.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
