Top 12U & 13U teams and players in Mid-State?

Anyone have any information on the top 12U & 13U boys teams and players in mid-state area?

For 12u I would start with Team 147 out of Nashville. They won the 11u YBOA Nationals this past summer. They only lost 1 game in Tennessee and that was in Memphis about a month before nationals. 147 is coached by Scott Oatsvall and his son was the National Tournament MVP.

 

The Tennessee Thunder (I think that's the name - a team from mostly USN in Nashville) and the Nashville Celtics are both pretty good teams as well.

 

I'm sure there are others that I don't know about. No disrespect intended to any not mentioned.

I am in the same boat as you are in. I am currently looking for 13u teams for my son to tryout for.

Sorry, I don't know anything more than what has been posted, maybe need to expand the ? even beyond the mid-state area. Scott Oatsvall would be a good contact.

My son has been involved with the Tennessee Thunder for several years and I have found it to be a great organization and program. They have been practicing at Goodpasture H.S. the last couple of years. Mike Williams and Hendren Merritt are the primary contacts of the org. Hendren has a facebook page and anyone can start there for info. If you don't find a team, I would suggest looking in the Tennesseean on Wednesday editions in the Roll Call section (last page of the Sports) for info. on teams or tournaments. Good Luck!
