I know it's early, but here are my predictions for the girls class A teams that will be attending the dance at the "Boro" in March:

Moore Co

Wayne Co

Lake Co

Scotts Hill

Jackson Co

Red Boiling Springs

North Greene

Oakdale

3/1/11 Update---Field of teams is down to 16. All 8 of above picks are still in the hunt.

Your list looks very good. I think you're right about Lake Co. and Scotts Hill coming out of W. TN. IF..IF Scotts Hill beats Middleton in regional championship.

If Middleton has to go to Lake Co. in sub state, and Bradford has to go to Scotts Hill...then, I agree with you about who'll be representing the West in state tourney. But, if Scotts Hill has to play Lake Co., and Bradford has to play Middleton...then it's a toss up between Scotts Hill and Lake Co....and Middleton will probably be going to state.

Neither Middleton nor Scotts Hill wants to go to Lake Co. for a sub state game....or, at least, they shouldnt.

Why moore county is 28-3

I am by NO means saying that any one team will make it to the state tourney over another. But, on the other hand, RECORDS, my friend, aren't worth the paper they are written on when it gets to this point in the season! Looking forward to great finishes in the Region Tournament across the state tonight!

YOU MADE SOME SOLID PICKS HERE.

For predictions that were made on January 12th, I guest they turned out to be pretty decent. (and the two teams on the list that did not make it were eliminated in the sub-state round. My prediction for the final four are:

Lake County

Jackson County

Scotts Hill

Wayne County

One of these four teams I think will win the "Gold Ball", but there 8 good teams still in the hunt (otherwise, they wouldn't be at the Boro)and I'm sure they all have the same goal. I hope they all enjoy their state tournament experience and may the best team win.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
