On an interesting side note, 2 intrepid Brentwood Bruin fans who were sick of wrestling match cancellations over 1 inch of snow, braved the elements and ventured north to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes wrestle the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday at Carver Hawkeye arena.

 

All kidding aside, while husband Phil was prepping for his colonoscopy, Kathy Thomas(Blake Thomas's mom, former Brentwood State Champ, Fargo All American, and UTC wrestler) and yours truly extended our Cedar Rapids bidness trip an extra day and caught the Hawkeyes beat the Buckeyes like red headed step children. Quite an experience watching 9,000 fans watch a dual match.

 

By the way, when we got up Friday morning it was 19 degrees BELOW zero with a winchill of minus 30. There was also 2 feet of snow on the ground. Did they cancel school? NO - just delayed 2 hours so the oil in the bus engines would thaw.

 

Its nice to be back in balmy 40 degree weather.
