Now that the regular season has come to an end who do you see moving out of this district on to region and who will be the tournament champion? I feel bad for the fans coming to the games at sycamore. Parking is no good and one portable bathroom. yikes

The two bathrooms will be open. It is a mess down there, but trying to upgrade the look means you have to start somewhere.

 

Good luck to all teams. Should be a fun tourney to watch.

Play-In Games today:

 

Greenbrier(5) at Macon County(4)

 

Westmoreland(6) at White House(3)

 

Sycamore(1) and Goodpasture(2) have the bye.

 

Winner of the 4/5 game will play at Sycamore at 7:00 Monday Night (unless Westmoreland beats White House tonight.

 

White House (if they win) will play Goodpasture at Sycamore Monday night at 4:30.

Macon hosted Greenbrier and Macon won 2-1.

 

White House hosted Westmoreland and White House won 11-1.

 

 

The tournament shakes out like this, with Sycamore hosting at their place in Pleasant View, TN.

 

Seeding and Regular Season Records

1) Sycamore (9-1)

2) Goodpasture (8-2)

3) White House (5-5)

4) Macon County (4-6)

 

Higher seed should be home throughout, I think.

 

Monday

4:30 Goodpasture vs White House

7:00 Sycamore vs Macon County

 

Tuesday

4:30 L1 vs L2

7:00 W1 vs W2

 

Wednesday

4:30 W3 vs L4

in between games the All-District team is announced

7:00 W5 vs Unbeaten team

 

Thursday is the if necessary game scheduled for 6:00, if I was told right.

 

Should be a great tourney, who knows who will win.

 

My prediction is Sycamore and Goodpasture move along in any order.

      Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!

      In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
