Colby and the Wilson Central kid have never wrestled. Siegel didn't have a chance to wrestle Wilson this season due to weather.

 

from all the talk i hear that might be a good match to watch i havent had the chance to see the siegel kid wrestle but i have watching the central kid and he an outstanding wrestler for a freshman

Mostly agree with these. Nell from Blackman and Satterfield are close at 140, split 2 matches this season, each won one match by 2 to 3 point decision. Belcher will also be in the mix, probably wins 135 but not 130.

 

MJ probably lost around 20 team points (assuming 2nd at 145 to Birdwell) and guessing Blackman about 15 or so (3rd or 4th at 112) with the DQ's last weekend.

Because of what happened to the Blaze recently, I have them losing

in close matches. They are stronger with Hamm in the chair! It

may not hurt them as much @ WC, but it may be a factor @ State.

Depends if he can pass notes to the coach while working the table????

 

Belcher is capapble. The Wildcats will have home advantage. We

will see this weekend. (Kaferle beat Insalaco already 6-2)

You could be exactly right. Insalaco would have to beat Kaferle

after losing to him 6-2. Belcher would have to drop to 130, keep

his weight down, and beat a Seaman for the first time. Nell would

have to stay off his butt and beat Shatterfield (toss up), and

Boykin would have to beat the beast from MJ.

Does anyone know why Hammonds did not wrestle for Eagleville the second day of team state? I would have thought he was thier best option.

You HAVE to love the 189 lb weight class from Region 5.

 

There are 4 potential state placers in this group:

 

#2 ranked Scottie Boykin - Riverdale (who also doesn't take it easy on an old man at practice btw)

#3 ranked Blake Biggs - Mt. Juliet

#4 ranked Luke Frederick - Tullahoma

#9 ranked Adam Wells - Blackman

 

I've had the chance to coach each of these 4 young men and you couldn't ask for a better group of guys to represent Region 5 at State!
