It will be an exciting match, but the thing about Science Hill is that they rarely get pinned. You have to do that to beat them. It can be done and Blackman has a good team to do it. Lets see what happens.

"May stall"????? One thing you'll never see from a SH team is stalling. (Sometimes a little stalling would be recommended IMO, but they are coached to wrestle). I've seen kids that had a 3 or 4 pt lead, should have rode out the last 30 seconds, but wrestled on and got caught).

Well maybe I used the wrong term? Im not talking about riding

a lead out. How about when they are behind and lay flat on the mat in

hopes of not getting pinned by another wrestler in a dual match? Or

wrestling on the line to get a break and prevent the takedown/pin. I know

coaches instruct their wrestlers about what happens in a dual match when

they get pinned. (Giving up 6 instead of 3) Sorry if I ruffled any feathers.

I agree. They will be well prepared, but Blackman is out for a Big Finish to deliver on what they are capable of and to reward Coach Hamm for his personal blood sweat and tears! Thanks to all those that have stepped up to get them here and make ,a respectable showing! Thanks to Shadowens for stepping in after years of only football and no wrestling experience since HS @ Smyrna & to Shawn Jones for sharing your superior mat skills and philosophy to win!!!!! Great Parents & others behind this program is what holds it together. The future may be uncertain, but we have great hope all things will work out for good in the long run!

 

IMHO... This Tournament and the ones following will give something wrestlers, coaches, admin, parents & fans & Rutherford Co. Can Be Proud of!!!!

Not so sure that you've earned anything here except your reputation. That said, I really harbor no ill feelings towards you at all. I was just scared when I saw that "The" in front of your name. Made me feel a bit inferior so I decided to start using it too. I might even get me one of those spinny smiley things.
