How are things looking on the outer rim....Meigs, Sequatchie, Bledsoe...new coach at Walker Valley...

 

My initial stab...No outer rim teams as I do not know them well enough...

Until proven otherwise, it's 1....and everyone else, and least as far as ranking the teams. That doesn't mean there won't be quality ball throughout the city and to an extent, in the area.

 

I'm still hearing East Hamilton as the darkhorse. We'll have to wait and see on that one.

Katie Henderson will make a huge difference, not sure about the rest.

The Chattanooga Class A district looks brutal. There's Grace, but on Thursday Arts and Sciences upset GPS, Silverdale beat Chattanooga Christian 8-0 and Boyd-Buchanan beat Class AA East Ridge.

What makes you think Baylor will take GPS?

I guess you can take Silverdale out of the top 10 now since they finished 4th in the Hixson tournament behind Marion, Bledsoe, and Hixson

4th...............YIKES!!!!!!!! doesn't say much for Silverdale.

That's not good finishing fourth but Bledsoe (AA) and Marion have good teams (A), both are state tournament contenders especially if they can win their region (not having to travel in substate).

 

Right now, still very early, I'd have 1-Soddy-Daisy 2-Baylor 3-Central 4-Grace 5-Ooltewah, after that seems like a bunch clumped together so far, Bledsoe, Marion, Walker Valley, Sequatchie, GPS (lost to CSAS but I expect them to get better), Boyd-Buchanan, others. I saw CSAS get beaten 16-0 in the Meigs tournament, they were likely running out of pitching by that point but that's still a bad loss.

Boyd lost to Hixson 9-3 in their first game of the season and from what I understand are having a hard time with numbers... barely have enough to field a team.
