StarRaider
Instead of the standard "who are the seeds" question that most of the knuckleheads ask on this board... here are the seeds from what I can tell 103 1. Roberts (2011 RC@103, #6 in 2010) All are region champs at this years weights. 112 1. Kermick ( #5@112) 2. Maples (#5@103) 3. Stevens ( #6@112) 119 1 Boone (#2@119) 125 1. Hames (#1@119) 2. Morrison (#3@119) 3. Hall (#4@119) 4. Feuerbacher (#5@125) 130 (Edited, forgot Mr. Lewis) 1. Lewis (#1@125) 2. Seaman (#2@130) 3. Crutcher (#2@112) 4. Woods (#3@130) 5. Maxwell (#4@112) 135 1. M. Lopez (#1@130) 140 1. A. Lopez (#5@135) 145 1. Brown (#4@140) 2. Birdwell (#5@140) 3. Sharp (#6@140) 152 1. Smith (#2@140) 2. Colbaugh (#3@145) 3. Bennett (#5@145) 160 1. Newburgh (#3@152) 171 1. Schay (#5@152) 189 1. Davis (#2@171) 2. Boykins (#6@171) 215 1. Bolton (#2@215) 285 No seeds There is a guy from Bearden (Landers) but no clue if he won his region or not. WrestlingGod
I thought I had heard one time that the placers at THAT weight get priority over placers at a different weight. Like Fuerbacher would be seeded above the others because he placed at that weight last year while the others were at 119. Just curious if that is correct or not. HSDAD
Unless they wrestled this season and Bradley's 130 beat Woods this year, Woods would be #2 @ 130. Edited February 14, 2011 by HSDAD
WrestlingGod
Unless they wrestled this season and Bradley's 130 beat Woods this year, Woods would be #2 @ 130. 2. Returning state champion, runner-up, or 3rd place finisher from the previous season (Same weight class and in-state given priority over different weight class and out-of-state. If different weight class, then the higher weight class receives priority.). Ahh ok, just wondering...Crutcher didnt beat Woods this year though did he? The way I understand it, state champs are seeded first no matter what weight, then 2nds, 3rds, etc. The next criteria is champs/placers at the weight, then higher weight, then lower weights. So Hames gets #1 at 125 since he was a state champ. I could be wrong though.

StarRaider
Unless they wrestled this season and Bradley's 130 beat Woods this year, Woods would be #2 @ 130. 1. Head-to-head competition during the current season (If split evenly, the most recent victory given priority. Otherwise, the wrestler with the best record against that particular opponent receives priority.). 2. Returning state champion, runner-up, or 3rd place finisher from the previous season (Same weight class and in-state given priority over different weight class and out-of-state. If different weight class, then the higher weight class receives priority.). 3. Record against common opponents during the current season (Common opponent in the same weight class given priority over common opponent in a different weight class. If different weight class, then higher weight class receives priority.). 4. Returning 4th or 5th place finisher from the previous season (Same weight class and instate given priority over different weight class and out-of-state. If different weight class, then the higher weight class receives priority.). 5. Common tournament place finishes during the current season (Wrestlers must have been in the same weight class in the tournament.). Head to head has no bearing on seeding in D1. IV. STATE TOURNAMENT (Division I) A. The state wrestling tournament shall be held the weekend of the third Saturday in February. B. The draw for the state tournament shall be made by the Board of Control and shall be released after the completion of all regional wrestling tournaments. C. Wrestlers who meet the qualification shall be placed in each weight division in the state tournament. In order to be placed, a wrestler must be a regional champion and must have been a state place finisher during his high school career. The criteria for placing shall be as follows: 1. Separate all state champions (includes state champions from other states). 2. The following criteria shall be used to separate state champions: a. state champion at same weight, b. state champion at higher weight, c. state champion at lower weight. (If there are two state champions at the same weight the state champion from Tennessee will receive the higher seed.) 3. Follow the same procedure as #2 above for 2nd place from previous year, 3 rd place from previous year, … 4. Items #2 and #3 shall be applied in order to wrestlers who placed in the state tournament two years prior. 5. Blind draw.
