9AAA District Final...wow

I agree that the officials created a powder keg by not getting this game under control early. Through my rose colored glasses the officials allowed WC to play street ball while calling ticky tac fouls on Gallatin. If they had control over the game what ensued afterwards wouldn't have been a problem. I've never seen a kid throw a punch at a police officer before tonight. He should have been under control by his coaches instead of being encouraged to go after the officials. Such a shame because 5 for WC was one of the best players in the tournament.

first off he did not throw a punch at anyone he simply punched an exit sign. so get your facts straight.

At the split second the buzzer went off and THEN the shot was taken and made the referees should've been on top of it and blown the whistle to decline the shot, pushing the game to a third OT.

Once they did not, obviously Gallatin thought they had won, duh. Fans stormed the court, players cheered, and WC demanded an explanation. At that point the referees had one choice: run for your life.

The call was blown and it was too late to fix it. Emotions were out of control tonight and it is a definite misfortune for a game that we all love to play, watch, and coach, end that way. For fans and players to take it to another level is uncalled for. Let's not get into it on a message board. Games over, hopefully regionals will give another shot.

Wilson Central got cheated big time! the buzzer clearly went off TWICE before the shot went in, watch it on film... Gallatin got a little home cooking.

First of all that was one of the best games of the entire season, no exceptions. I got to see every team in the district play twice this year and it was obvious that the best two teams were in the championship. I will agree that the shot was beyond questionable but how in the world can you "BUCSBUCSBUCS", wonder where you're from, say that Gallatin got a little home cooking? I guess your next complaint is that Hendersonville got the same "home cooking" as they laid the wood to you guys. For any district tournament referees are brought in from out of town, so to say it was home cooking is absurd. It was clearly something that should have been discussed amongst the officials, but when fans storm (from both sides) not too many referees will stand around and correct a possible wrong call.

"bucsbucsbucs" is just a cover up. i have no ties to beech what so ever. nice try though. bottom line is the refs denied wc a chance at a district championship, and basically handed it to gallitan. rather they would have changed the call or not most refs would have atleast got together and discussed it. but how can they do that when half the gym runs onto the court. thats where gallitan police need to keep there students off the floor instead of trying to arrest every black person they see. at the end of the day wc got cheated there is no getting around that one.

I would believe you that its just a cover up, but you joined CoachT a week ago and all your post are about Beech. So nice try youngster, you are without a doubt from beech, and there is no covering that up.

As for the game, it is funny how people point fingers at others when they have no involvement in the game. To point the finger at Gallatin police is truly ridiculous and childish. But I am pretty sure I saw a "Wilson Co." office place a Wilson Central student in handcuffs and likewise saw plenty of Gallatin fans escorted out by Gallatin police. I understand it is an emotional game for all involved, and over all it was a terrific game that just had a crazy ending.

well that shows how smart you are. i had a lot of involvement in last nights game considering im a player for wilson central. for the record no wilson central student was placed in handcuffs other than Dee which was by a gallatin police officer. so yet again your post was inaccurate.
