Saw a game go 4 innings last night before being called for weather..Both teams had equal number of at bats, no pitch was thrown in the 5th and home team batted last. Visiting team was up 3-0. Is this a completed game?

Ok, So how is this handled ? Does the game pick up where left off? or Do they start a new game?

The game should have been suspended after 4 and pick up in the top of the 5th.

Restart or a mutual coaches decision to continue...assuming this is a TSSAA sanctioned event

Isn't it the district coaches that decide how to handle if it doesn't go 4 1/2... the MJ game with Gallatin is an example, only in the 3rd, yet is being replayed from the start. 9AAA dropped the ball on this??

Must have the visitors complete their half of the 5th. If home team is ahead in the bottom, then it's a game. If home team behind then must complete bottom half of 5th to be complete.

Yet you fail to answer the original ??, does it start over or pick up at the point per district??

Our district starts over. Had the same situation Monday. Started to rain in the bottom of 4th. Finished the top of 5th with home team ahead. Rain stopped game and called win for the home team. It had been decided earlier that any rain outs would start over. In district tournament time it is a suspended game and picks up where left off.

Thanks, so why doesn't everybody do the sensible thing and pick up at the rainout point. Can't T$$AA make a rule they might stick to, instead of leaving it to X # of districts? 4 1/2 is a done deal with home leading.
