To answer your questions,defense lost 2 starters that started every game, and 1 player that started a few games. I may be wrong but rumor has it that Coach Jones is comming back as the defensive coach. If I'm not mistaking he was the coach on some of coach Johnson's better teams. I don't know about being one of the favorites though. With what they have comming back they should have a pretty good team. But Coalfield is the defending champ so they should probably be the favorites. Nobody mentioned Sunbright or Oneida either but Sunbright (I think)didn't loose much. And I don't look for Oneida to have a re-peat of last year, they have too good of a program up there. Wartburg lost alot but you never know, nobody was talking about Coalfield that much last year at this time either. I don't know much about Oakdale or Jellico. Any way its almost time for spring practice to start. Then we might have a little better idea of who's got what. Good luck to all the teams and let's hope there aren't any injuries.

Oneida was young last year, they should be better this year. They had 4 returning starters on defense and 3 on offense from the year before.

So what happens to OZ if their coach brackett gets the Clinton job? he did apply for it I saw it.

I know OZ has alot of returning starters on Offense but, what does the defense have coming back alot of points with a strong offense does no one any good if your giving up as many as your making I also heard that they were getting a new defensive coach who is he? Who is back and where?

The defense lost a linebacker and a dt both of which can be replaced easily especially with the return of daniel bass after an acl injury he will really be a force to be reckoned with on the d and o lines OS has a bunch of linebackers to fill the spot lost so they shouldn't be hurting on the defensive side of the ball. They didn't really lose anything on the offensive side other then a running back but Romero is still there so it shouldn't change the offense any. The new defensive coach is chuck jones he is taking the spot of Ronnie brown as the new dc.

Which linebacker did they lose cause didn't they have a kid that was linebacker of the year? Was this the one they lost, do they have someone to replace him ? And how about the secondary they gave up some pass plays last year. I am hearing that they have alot coming back sounds like with a few holes plugged this could be a GREAT year for OZ!!! Also who was the DT they lost did he play offense also?

I agree with you on that but we got lucky Kingston was going play Cumberland Co that week and CCHS called and asked if it was ok to drop the game so they could pick Bledsoe Co up that week so Vic called Brackett and got the game setup. On the Rockwood issue I was told Coach Webb was still upset how OS drop Rockwood 2 years ago and told Brackett no when he called this year. Coach Tapp at Harriman for some reason will not play OS

OZ did not drop Rockwood 2 years ago, Rockwood wanted to move the game to week 0 or week one, and OZ could not accomodate those changes, so the game was dropped from the schedule. Jet, you can keep posting in error about this and I will correct you everytime. Coach Brackett has tried to schedule Harriman since the first year he arrived at OZ, but Coach Trapp will not do it, you can draw your own conclusion as to why. If my memory serves me well, Rockwood wanted OZ last year and Rockwood got them, and it ended their season!

The linebacker was Austin Woodall not Morgan and the dt was Joey Vinson he didn't play much offense but it's gonna be all good this year for os

That's right! I loved every minute of it too! OZ beat them by a couple of td's too if i remember correctly! 26-14?
