SmashMouthFootball85
How do you think the War Eagles will fair after the sub par year last year? Will the new coach have a big first season?
howdoitknow
The "non-district" schedule includes 3 District 11-AA foes in Cheatham County, Creek Wood, and Harpeth. Ezell-Harding has also been added to the non-district slate and they are supposedly going to be "young" and in a rebuilding mode. Glencliff is the first game. The War Eagles beat them last year 20-19 in OT. The district is loaded with Goodpasture, White House, Greenbrier, and NOW a much improved Macon County bunch. I don't know much about Westmoreland's expectations in 2011. The War Eagles have a new head coach and return some key cogs from the last 2 years teams. They'll be right in the thick of the playoff hunt in Coach Williams first season. Sycamore always plays a tough brand of football!
SmashMouthFootball85
Is it true that they are running the wing-t? If so it seems like most of the district is.

I hadn't heard this however if they are then you'd see: Goodpasture: Wing-T Greenbrier: Wing-T Macon County: Wing-T Westmoreland: Wing-T and now Sycamore??????? That would make 5 out of 6 teams in the district that are running the same style offense. Sure, some of them will attack you in different ways but overall it is the same offense. SmashMouthFootball85
I heard from a player source they where running it. That was in the Spring game so it may have changed. A player with outstanding potential is Kevin Heath. Most athletic player on this team. He will be a big time play maker.

Don't they also return the trio of Tanner Tucker, Dale Tamborella, and Hunter Anderson? All of those guys are good players!
SmashMouthFootball85
This is true. Such is why I heard wing-t. Those three in backfield with the young Clanton at QB1.
SmashMouthFootball85
Don't forget center Patrick White and WR Olson who can play if he gets the ball. He isn't a bad corner either. Heath more than likely will play at least some at these spots: QB,HB,WB,WR,OLB,S,CB. He can lay the wood also so he is a factor on special teams also. A under the radar player who will get some carrys is Dylan Bright. Only a 10th grader but is the best compelte HB on the team. Not saying he is the best but he will be a factor! soulsurvivor34
Sycamore will be one of the worst teams in their district so who really cares?
SmashMouthFootball85
It will be a new experience after having the same coach for multiple years. C
