Gabriel Luis of Brentwood Academy is an up and coming sophmore who just transfered from Remojunta, GA. He has the skills to be as good as Chase McTorry but i dont know, that is saying a lot. He has quick and agile feet and when he gets tackled maaaan he jumps high. I saw him in the John Paul II game. WHOOOO WEEE. He fumbled a kickoff but almost ran it back if it had not been for the 5-7 opponents about to tackle him. He juked 4 but could not escape the last 3. He is 5'7 and 125 lbs. but dont let his size decieve you. He is another Warrick Dunn. If you have a chance to come see this awesome specimen of a player you will surely be in for a thrilling game. :D

Mark Byrd has to be one of the best. Very bright, and one of the nicest kids you could ask for.I also think he is best suited for WR. Great moves and exelent hands.I've watched every game he,s played for two and a half years and and he does something remarkable every game.

Cementmixer....Let me see... Best DB in Tennessee fumbles the kickoff.... about to run it back....But 5-7 opponents get in his way.....125 lbs....Awesome specimen... Maybe you should state that this player will some day be a great DB.

Was that cement you were mixing or Jack and Coke? ;)

If we are debating who the best DB in Tennessee is, I believe that hands-down that title goes to Benson Sloan from MBA. I have seen him play several times and I now consider him the "new breed of defensive back". I also can compare his talent and ability to that of former SEC great Fred Smoot. To top it off, he has the "intangibles". Anyways, watch out for this kid.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
