A degree from any college is a good thing in today's down job market...but a degree from VU is a cut above almost any out there. They made a good decision to pick Vanderbilt. Obviously you can play ball there and still be drafted high in the NFL as well if you have that level of football talent.

This is all smoke & mirrors with offseason hype. As soon as Vandy wins 3 games this season some of these recruits will look elsewhere. If Franklin does turn Vandy around he will get poached by a bigger school. Who knows if this guy can even be a good head coach?

Well put. They don't have 4 of the top 5 players in the state. All of that is subjective, but i don't think anyone else would have the same top 5 you have.

As a Maryville fan it is not often that I agree with bladeruuner but he is definitely correct on this one!!!!

He is no doubt trying turn it around. He is a better recruiter than coach.

The four out of five was according to Unapproved Website a week ago. So yeah someone does have the same top 5 as me.

Bottom line is that a degree from Vanderbilt is very valuable.

He is a better talker than anything. hasnt done anything anywhere. Dont look for him to last .

I agree but didn't state anything about that in my post. I was strictly talking football and the supposed hype around Vandy this offseason. Franklin is doing ok but he has one player with a Vol offer and nobody has seen his on the field product yet.
