Wow, I wish I could see this battle, this should be the game of the week in the state for week one. I will be at CBHS V. Wooddale, should be a good game too, Wooddale has one of the best backs in the state, Jovan Robinson, I think that's his name. We CBHS, might struggle this year, small inexperienced line.

MUS and Ensworth, preview of state championship?

Im really looking forward to this game. I saw the MUS scrimmage vs Ridgeway and they looked very good. I havent seen Ensworth play. But this MUS team looks like a state championship caliber team. Im hoping MUS will pull off a victory.

Yes, I heard MUS really looked good against Ridgeway( likely Memphis' best team last year) I have no idea what Ridgeway may have lost in players. One thing I,ve noticed over the years is the public schools here start a little slower, due to the lack of year round training.

No doubt, MUS should be the class of the d2 west. Watch for the St. Benedict running back Jordan Wilkins, he is a JR. Has offers from UT, Ole Ms, Memphis, and more to come.

MUS has the edge up front, while Ensworth has the better skill players. Ensworth defeated Oakland 35-0 in a 3 quarter scrimmage last week.

Will be a great game!!

Six turnovers did MUS in before they ever really got started. They were down 21 to 0 after just 6 minutes of play. MUS had more yards per average, more first downs, more total yards and led in most every statistic, except the one that matters, the score. MUS defense played very well given the field position, Ensworth had them backed up in their own territory all night. MUS played much better the second half, but in the end too many turnovers, dropped passes, missed assignments and lack of execution made it impossible to make a comeback. Don't be surprised to see them matched up against Ensworth again in the play-offs, it could be a much different outcome if MUS comes out an executes in typical MUS fashion.

Paul Wade does a great job as OC at Ensworth and Corn Elder is as good as advertised. Hopefully, these two teams will play again in the play-offs.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
