Everbody stinks except Lewisburg, right?

 

LC has a new coach, so expect some changes. They have also lost two of their senior starting pitchers. (zero tolerance) That will hurt them also.

 

Now let me think back several years... oh yeah, it was Lewis Co that ended M.C.'s winning streak in '84.

I'm not giving names, just saying the were the #1 and probably #2 pitchers on the team.

 

You're right, sometimes I fail to remember that most of the guys on here are players or recent players. Sorry for the ancient history lesson! LOL

Now that we have a good coach again things should be looking up. We probably won't be as good as the invincible MC team but we do have one thing over them, sportsmanship. Congrats to coach Callicott on getting the job , he's a great guy and knows a lot more than that loser coach who was here last year. Whatever happened to him, I heard he was becoming a missionary and leaving the country for good.

I hope Callicott helps yall out. He is a pretty good coach. I knew him at franklin before i moved to fairview. Good Luck tou yall this season.

I knew Coach Callicott from his playing days at Franklin High. We were in school together at TNU before he left for Lee College in Cleveland TN. He is a good man and a good coach. Good Luck to Lewis County this year.

it is a great school and everything but they have bad sportsmanship. yeah they win almost every year but do it with class. there coach lets his players do anything they want during the game. also i think the worst part about marshall co. is their fans. but their baseball programs has to be one of the best in tennessee.

Apparently you don't know Joe George all to well. He must be doing something right when he is 9 wins from setting the all-time win record in TN. Can you say you have a coach that has that much to brag about. Wait a minute, Coach George doesn't even acknowledge the fact that he is that close, he doesn't beleive in bragging. He takes everything in stride and coaches the game the way it is supposed to be played. He enjoys winning more than anything but he also takes the losses in a possitive manner and makes his teams better. Can some of you say that?

i never said the coach acted badly, i was talking about the players. one of the main reasons marshall is good year in and year out is because of his coaching. but he should make his players act the same way he does and then i might have some respect for the players.
