How does everyone think the league will stack up this year? I see it being pretty competitive in spots 2-7.

HERE IS A LIST START:

1. SCI. HILL--RANK HIGH IN ANY DISTRICT, LOTS OF TALENT, #1 COACH.

2. TENN HIGH-- BE IN THIS SPOT DUE TO TALENT BEING DOWN ACROSS THE CONFERENCE

3. VOL HIGH -- BE HERE IF KOOL-AID IS MIXED WELL.

4. BOONE -- WITH IMPROVED PLAYERS FROM SUMMER LEAGUE COACH CAMPBELL SURPRISE A FEW AND

MOVE HIGHER INTO THE TOP THREE.

5. SOUTH -- COULD FINISH HIGHER IF THE RIGHT PLAYERS COME OUT TO PLAY.

6. CENTRAL -- LOST A FEW KEY PLAYERS BUT COULD FINISH HERE WITH THEIR HARD PLAYING STYLE.

7. D.B.H.S. -- LOST MOST OF THEIR TALENT LAST YEAR, WILL NEED TO REBUILD.

8. CROCKETT -- NEEDS LOTS OF KOOL-AID FROM VOLUNTEER.

Bunches of talent...got to share the rock. DEEP on the bench too.

2. THS Strong Jr. class and a couple of Seniors will have to carry the

load. Mitchell will have field day on teams 3-8. May give the Hill

a run. They won't go down easy...Viking Pride!

3. DB/VOL Go inside to Anderson...place here at No.3.stay outside..drop to

4th or 5th place...(Gray didn't get enough touches last year...)

4. VOL/DB Got some talent here. Kool-Aid and hustle...Lindholm, Snyder,

Overbay and Way...could give any team (except for the Hill)

a run for their money on a given night...

5. BOONE Scrappy bunch of girls...Agree, will surprise a few..

6. SOUTH Recently watched a video of South from last year...They just don't

play enough defence the whole game. They should play as a team tho.

7. CENTRAL Rough year...will miss Kestner. PG should go on with Vball...Should

she even play Bball? Please quit using the flex...Boring..

8. CROCK Should move to 3 Rivers Conf....enrollment too high..

After toppers rest really doesn't matter. Overall the Big 8 is weaker this year than last, should make it interesting for 2 - 8 since they are all about equal.

Synder girls have left VHS and attend Boone - Jenny the post will be a great asset for Boone - was leading rebounder, 2nd leading scorer at VHS and was named to the district all tournament team. Do not think older sister will play, but should be pursued because a great defense player. Volunteer still has some great talent, but someone will have to step it up to take over that spot of those stats.

 

Agreed, that it all goes to Schience Hill and predict that Tarter or Copney will POY.

Hate to hear that, best to the Snyder girls, they will be greatly missed, may have to move Boone up a notch or two if both play. Definite blow to VHS, losing 2 quality players. Hard to imagine Rachael not playing, unless they just transferred and she is not eligible.

I think the POY will come down to Mitchell, Tarter, and maybe Copney or Reid. If history has anything to do with it, it will be someone from THS. I thought Haley Hensley should have won it last year or the year before. She was deadly. Lindholm may get in the mix but i am not sue since she will be on a bottom tier team. Any news on DB? I heard they had a player transfer from South. Any truth?

I can tell you this, if the jumpers on the State Championship Volleyball Team decide to play during their off season, rebounding, intensity and endurance will not be a problem for Sullivan South. Two sports might not be the thing for this athletic group though.
