CHAMPDDS
Ran across this today on TSSAA website....is this really enforced for 'individuals' filming the game ? Has this really been an issue, and if so, couldn't all 'individuals' simply say it was for the team ? D. Video taping or filming is permitted if the taping or filming is for private use or use by the two schools involved and not for public or commercial use. Video taping or filming must be done from the individual’s seat. Individuals will not be allowed to use tripods. A school taping or filming its own game may use a tripod. A school will not be allowed to tape or film a game unless its team is involved in the game. All taping or filming by a school may be approved by the local Game Director or Tournament Director, and the Tournament Director or Game Director shall assign space, when available, from which the school may tape or film. Rabble Rouser
Ask Bearcat Brown. He's know the video taping rules pretty well.
germantown100
The tripod thing is stupid...it needs to be changed...someone probably complained they couldn't see past someone who was filming standing up using a tripod....most people that film go to the top bleacher anyway......every videographer I have seen in the stands uses a tripod or on the sideline and nobody cares. the only reasons anyone should complain is if a competitor tries to show up and illegally film. siegelsoccer
I think most of this applies to the state tournament because they sell recordings of the game for fans.
