Rumor has the Obion County Rebelletes are trying to cancel the game because of a little rain and move the game to friday.. Their little spread attack is scared of the rain.Little Babies..... people in troy should be ashamed of their coach and administration for trying to back out of this game that they scheduled.

I highly doubt the reason for moving this game is due to "their little spread attack is scared of a little rain"....moreso the impact that "foul weather" has on the gate's ticket receipts! With the following that both Dyersburg and Obion County Central has....it would be a major loss of revenue for the host school and a taking a chance to boost that attendence is simply wise on behalf of their administration!

Rain is as hard on DB's as it is the WR's, if not harder. The receivers know where they are going, DB's don't.

could be true.... but I am not buying it this game has major playoff implications for both squads and he knows dyersburg's offense is run oriented and that dburg's defense is a great run stopping defense, and he is scared.

When you set a game to a date then I do not feel that you should be allowed to change the date of that game unless lightning or death is the cause.

Sickness to a key player or wet playing surface is not a valid excuse. I don't care how much it affects the gate revenue. When you set a date then that should be final.

If I were coaching Dyersburg I would make Obion forfeit the game before I allowed the date to be moved to tomorrow night.

Disgrace to all that have played the game, looking for an easy out when things don't go your way... football is also a game of life ... So coach teach your kids how to rise up and tackle what life throws your way

This is weak as water!! This is football not basketball on grass. Even girls soccer plays in the rain w/o lightning. We all understand the playoff implications here and to try and get the ideal weather for YOUR needs is weak, pitiful, and a disgrace to this sport!!

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
