Mo West and Mo East both home first round...

I wish they would just combine ME and MW into one Hamblem County High School and create another 6A team in NET.

If the 2 schools were to combine the enrollment of the new school would be over 3000, which I'm pretty sure would be about 500 more than the school that currently has the largest enrollment in Tennessee. That is the main reason I don't think Hamblen county will ever go back to just having 1 high school.

Good Point, but make no mistake that other schools are moving towards the meda-enrollment(Kingsport annexations of North and South areas). So why all the new building at ME then?

Another point, I am really hoping for a Mo-West/Mo-East rematch. I made the 19-17 classic earlier this year and will return if they both win in round 1!

East wins 43-0, all signs point to an East-West Rematch next week.

I like East in the rematch. They have the hot hand and all the motivation for the rematch.

Cherokee shifted to basketball mode during the halftime talk at Newport. What a collapse. I think injuries really took a toll on the team last week.

East does have a hot hand but so does West. Both went 3-1 down the stretch against the same 4 opponents. West spent the past 3 weeks improving their passing game while east did the same old thing. West has tape of their defense against East and will know how to stop it. West has more to lose and more pressure so East might be able to keep it close, but West's superior size and depth will show in the 4th quarter like it did in the previous meeting.

This is all speculation though, West needs to take care of business against Cocke Co. tonight.

Shouldn't be much problem tonight. They are just happy to be in. Slow Cates down and it's over, but you already know that.

I am looking forward to the buildup of the rematch. I may take that one in if my team doesn't advance. I've always enjoyed the Morristown football experience every time I 've been there over the years and I haven't seen the new renovations/additions yet. Please keep posting on the Trojans as they advance. Good luck.
