"My Little Pony" fans you'd better run your mouths while you can, because this week is it for you. One and done in the 2011 playoffs. Enjoy this week, it's all your gonna have. PC's JV plays the 4th wait and watch!

i talked to some knowable fans who went to the jb-guru game last night and they said west carroll could beat either team!

Good point! But make no mistake the Mustangs aren't the panthers!

My take on this from a pc fan whose not crazy PC is capable of winning this game by all means but they are going to have to limit the turnovers and mix the run and pass alot more the D will step up I think but all 5 of those Wrs will have to be utilized which is not happening lately but good luck to both teams and i just feel like pc wins this one PC by 4

Hello to all! I havent posted anything this football season because I have wanted to see how things have shaken out first.

I am not going to talk a bunch of trash just to try to fire another team up or stuff like that. I am to old to do that. I am just to going to post what I feel is an honest assessment of what I think and have seen this year.

After coming down from east tenn to watch the Mustangs play Milan, Camden, and Mckenzie all I would like to say is this is what I was telling you people last year that doubted the offense that is being ran by Huntingdon. Last year, the running backs weren't a big threat like they are this year. Obviosuly Huntingdon doesnt have a great back but they do have people that can get away from you in a hurry. The Warbritton kid is so much more mature this year and doesnt make a lot of mistakes. The other runner's can make a defense pay also, but that goes back to the physical blocking.

The difference between this years Huntingdon team and last year is 2 very HUGE things. First, the defense is good enough to help Huntingdon make it to Cookville. The offense WILL get them to Cookville.

Concerning the playoffs: being that I live up here in Harriman I have seen Coalfield play along with others and I am not sure they can get past South Pittsburg or not. Coalfield isnt to far from here. Dont know much about Eaglesville or Greenback. From what i have seen from Huntingdon beating Milan, Camden (two top 3A teams by 2 tds each) and beating Mckenzie reather easily, Huntingdon can win this thing if they put their minds to it.

I know Perry Co and Wayne Co are good, but not sure if they can handle the bi time atmosphere that they are fixing to experience because I believe both teams will have to play IN Huntingdon. Just not many other stadiums that 1A has like Huntingdon has, not to mention a Mustang team that has done a great job of what their head coach loves to do best. Ground and pound.

Looking forward to watching an old offense again this next Friday night.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
