kbrks
Not sure if fatigue but CPA led up until 4th qtr. Not a good shooting night but FT's won it. FT's sure did. According to box score 33 attempts to 6, 24 makes to 4 and 23 fouls called on Urspring to 10 on CPA. No losing coach likes to see that stat cause you are not going to win a close game with that type of discrepancy. Course doesn't have to be related to the officiating not being good (though many times the losing team will not agree), CPA is hard to guard with their quickness and athleticism. Unsparing got away with a lot in the first two games so I'm not surprised by the huge discrepancy. Sooner or later a group of officials will call it closer. Numbers 12 and 19 play unbelievable defense but they also foul a lot. I didn't see the CPA game but I can see Bradshaw taking advantage of this type of pressure to get to the foul line. howdoitknow
Mentor, OH has 51 points at the half against Charlotte Christian, NC who has shot it well and has 37 points themselves at the half.
howdoitknow
Mentor now leads 61-41 and I'm going to go ahead and pencil them in the title game and put Charlotte Christian in the 3rd place game. CPA vs Christ School, NC will be a better game I am sure!
howdoitknow
It's officially a final. Mentor, OH beats Charlotte Christian, NC by a final score of 92-61. 102, 102, and 92 in 3 games????? That is 296 points. Some teams struggle to score 296 in 6 games let alone half of that amount. Yikes!
MentorFan
Final: Mentor 92 Charlotte Christian 61 Justin Fritts had 26 points to lead all Mentor scorers. Jeff Foreman (13), Danny Wallack (12), and Mitch Trubisky (10) scored in double digits. Mentor set the team record for three-pointers in the Arby's Classic with 44 (broke their record of 42 last year). Mentor still has one more game to extend that record.
