How do y'all see the district finishing out! WC, SC, MJ, and Gallatin all with a chance to win this thing! I know the Bison finish with Lebanon, WC, MJ, and Gallatin. How do they other top teams close with. Also, Hendersonville will beat someone before this is all over. Maybe WC tomorrow night or someone in the tourney. They're the best 1-8 district team I've seen.

Who would you pick for an all-district starting line-up?

My initial thought. (I still have not seen Lebanon play)

Kyle Anderton SCHS

Ben Palmer WCHS

Jacob McCullough HHS

Jacob Williams WCHS

Robert Clayton GHS

I've now seen Lebanon as well as the rest of the district. Very good team and McMurry is a skilled shooter, can create a shot, penetrate and get to the rim or kick it to an open player.

I still believe this is my starting 5 all district.

5 Kyle Anderton SCHS (Great hands, skill set)

4 Ben Palmer WCHS (Smart, athletic, can guard multiple positions, score and rebound well)

3 Jacob McCullough HHS (Very athletic, can shoot or drive)

2 Jacob Williams WCHS (Great shooter/scorer)

1 Robert Clayton GHS (Fast, athletic, tough guard offensively/defensively)

Bench or second 5.

Devonte Williams GHS (Big shooter, good rebounder)

Regan Johnson MJHS (Smart, good skill set)

DaShawn McMurry LHS (Athletic, good shooter, penetrator)

Parker Henry BHS (Tough, leader)

?????

On the bubble.

Drew Pentecost BHS (Big...

Yalen Reed SCHS (Long, Good skill set...

Nolan Chobay MJHS (Good shooter...

Braden White HHS (Smart....

Agree, Gallatin has WC, Lebanon, Hendersonville, SC left. Stretch run.

Maybe I'm bias but Shi'vonta Perry is better than Chowbay and especially better than Braden White. White loves to drive and throw it up at the basket, drawing fouls flopping all over the place. Can't really disagree with you anywhere else but Chowbay takes too many ill-advised shots for me and doesn't defend very well.

Yes, I had a memory lapse. He should be on there and possibly in the second 5 if I didn't need a true post there. I believe he is SC 2nd best player right now. Your thoughts on White is why I believe he plays smart, he always gets that call. Chowbay has loads of talent but just seems to play outside of the team game.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
