Oakland was very well prepared and coached and came to play. Blackman could not get turnovers from Oakland and lets face it, Blackman is not very good in the half court offense. If Blackman can't get turnovers and quick scores, there not going to score much. Great job of handling the ball by Oakland. A really nice young team. Oakland also controlled the boards. Cox has got to play better for Blackman, I believe she is trying to do to much and thats not her game. Hall did not have a good game either and Norris was a nonfactor. Killings is improving and giving us another athlete on the court. Alex Johnson had a good game. Blackman played ok in the 2nd half but did not come to play for 4 quarters. Will Amanda Pollack be back this year? What is the status of her injury?

It is obvious now and has been obvious for some time that Riverdale is not only the best in Midstate in girls basketball but also likely one of the best schools in Girls Basketball in the State. After the rest of 7AAA having disintegrated after the season has started, Riverdales cream came to the top with great players and a mission. This is possibly the best group of players on one team for some time. Now the question is, Who will be the second best school in 7 and who will wind up being the winner and runner up in District. Riverdale "Handled" Blackman and Oakland and the rest and looks to be on a roll. Other Schools in 8 now look to be in the running for the runnerup spot in the region and there are plenty. So lets now lean back and see what happens. Parity has now occurred thruout the District except for one and we await the Tournaments to see what has happened.

7AAA standings are now just beginning to make sense as Riverdale and Oakland now look to be the top two school in the Region and Lawrence County is coming in a close 3rd place. Its not sure how the District or Region will go but everything will be surprising at the best. The standings look to be Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Siegel, Smyrna, and laVergne.
