West Greene has graduated two very senior heavy teams the past two years. I think all together we've graduated 30 in 2 years. Thats not a lot for a big team like Greeneville who can just reload, but it hurts a team like WG who doesnt have the athletes right now to do that. Our pass defense was bad this year, i gotta bad feeling its gonna be worse this year. With Rhinehart, Gregory, and some young guys stepping up our offense won't be as good, but we'll score some points. The biggest loss for CD was Juice, the kid was a hoss. As for the rest, we'll see come next year

Hey GCSports-- Can you elaborate on what the Rebels will have this upcoming season?

I would think Waddell will take over at qb . Shuffler will share ball carrying duties with Tim lightfoot if he will be at sg next year.. I heard a rumor that he is moving to va or somewhere but thats just a rumor . Coleman at wide out and as for the lineman we will just have to wait and see . Seems like we have to rebuild every year

Whew it's about time I knocked the dust off of my CoachT account! What's the latest on Lightfoot? Anything besides Malone coming out of Doak? Can't wait for football season

You think if West Greene takes Enough Milk cans they can make bleachers out of them?

Shld be a a lot cheaper than regular bleachers! Man those things sure are heavy!

So there ya go guys. Fix the seating problem with MILKCANS! Use what ya got! :thumb:

I hadn't heard any more about lightfoot . I did hear that Coleman will be at North Greene next year or maybe already is .

 

Thanks for the update- why did Coleman transfer? Big loss for your Rebels?

 

Calling any Doak fans!! What can we expect from the Black Knights post Juice?

 

Will N. Greene continue on the upswing? How do they expect to rank among the other Greene County schools?

 

Last but not least... Anyone going to have a spring scrimmage? I'm dying to watch some A on A football.

Well as most people know the big loss of CD was Julius Montgomery aka Juice. CD also lost Logan Collins a 3 year starter at QB. They lost their backup QB as well Matt Smith.. The biggest hole for them to fix will be the QB position if they can get someone to come in and do a decent job CD will have a good year.

 

They Return Bryce Malone and Tyler Coe at RB they have some good young backs coming up so the RB position should be solid this year. The OLine should be pretty good this season. WR i'm not sure what is coming back it was a big hole for us last year with the WR'S Dropping a lot of balls that should of been caught. If we return all the WR'S back we should be good in that area cause last season should of been a lesson for them so they can only improve right? lol

 

 

Defense should be pretty good about the same from last year. good enough to make stops and slow down teams..

 

 

It should be a good year for CD if they can find a QB..

Thanks for the thorough report, CDHS. How many of the hogs upfront return? Do you think y'all will stay in the wing t giving all the success of the last two years?

 

Anyone in the county have spring scrimmages set yet??

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.

      Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
