Top 4 spots will be determined between the usual suspects Humboldt, Lake County, Union City and Trenton.

That sounds about right Humboldt lost several seniors but have a group of good juniors on the horizon. LC loses some key players as well i dont know what they have coming back. UC always a threat but losing one of their coaches this could be a factor and depth always an issue.Peabody loses some key players but have a good group of 8th graders on the way up. With a new coach Trenton will more of a threat than people may think. I look for a another exciting year in 2012! :thumb:

Zebra you post is accurate. I think it will be a toss up between the big 4 in the District again next year. As far as Lake County's losses and returners the Falcons return 7 starters on offense but only 5 return on deffense. Ofeensively key losses were #11 Tyler-WR, #10 Boyd-RB, #81 Bledsoe-WR and #78 Crawford-C. Key returners are #3 Jones-RB, #9 Price-QB, #32 Bargery-FB as well as 4 of 5 starters returning in the OL. Key addition will be Dyer Co. transfer Raheem Flowers who sat out last season due to transfer rule. He will offset the loss of Tyler. With the talent returning the falcons should still be potent offensively and score points in bunches. Defense will be the question mark of this year's team, seems to be a trend for LC. Falcons have some good players returning in District Defensive MVP #3 Jones-DB. They also return 3 year starters at LB in #50 Lewis and #32 Bargery. Three year starter #4 Leland(also all district)joins Jones as the other returner in the secondary. Graduation hit Lake Co. big time in the D-line where 3 of 4 starters are gone. #52 Kimble-DT is lone returner. Need Sophomore #57 Strayhorn-DE, Junior #72 Ross-DT and Seniors #1 Crawford-DE, #9 Price-DE to step up and fill the voids. Other players such as #25 Caldwell-LB could allow Coach B to move players down to DL and solidify the position. Overall LC has some very talented players returning but must fill some holes defensively to be a serious contender.

Big swo Jr you talking middle school?? Really? Like that is an indicator of what will happen at the high school level. Since you brought it up though Lake Co.'s middle school went 6-2 this year (lost to UC, as you stated, and Dyersburg)BUT beat Three Oaks, their only loss, which beat your UC team. Three Oaks went on to win the championship in West TN I believe. Coach B has 22 incoming 8th graders lifting at the moment so I believe the Falcons will be fine down the line as well.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
