baseball242
I heard from a friend of mine that Robertson from Franklin isnt playing this year. Im not sure if this is true or not can anyone comfirm this? If this is true this will make the district even more interesting this year. I aslo heard that Shelton had knee surgery, can anyone tell me how that went and if he is going to be back?

It was something about not making a mile under a certain time so the coach would not let him on the team. I am not saying this is true at all because I can't see a coach getting rid of a top of the rotation arm like Robertson, but this is what I have heard. Hopefully this is just a rumor; it would really shake up the district though, Brentwood could go toe to toe with Franklin if this is true. I think the district will come down to ravenwood vs Brentwood. Especially if robertson is out. Franklin doesn't know how to consistently win. sportsjabber
Centennial wins this district. Your insane. No chance Cenntennial can have a better record in the district than Brentwood or Franklin
TheAnswer21
This district will come down to the Franklin vs. Brentwood series. They are the two most talented teams in the district, but will both probably still drop a game or two to Centennial or Ravenwood along the way. The Rebels and Bruins are pretty even talent-wise. Franklin holds the edge in the puitching department, especially with their depth in the rotation. There is not much of a drop-off between any of Franklin's top starters, while Brentwood lacks a quality arm outside of Shelton. However, Brentwood has a stronger line-up hitting-wise. They have most of the top contributers back aside from Ashcraft, and should put up a lot of runs this season. Ravenwood and Centennial should battle for third, with Indy and Hilsboro taking 5th and 6th. I'm interested to see how Indy looks this year after losing nearly everyone off their state team last year. Still, the biggest question in this district will be whether or not Hilsboro can go 7 innings with any of the district teams this year. williamsoncounty
Your insane. No chance Cenntennial can have a better record in the district than Brentwood or Franklin Centennial has been playing freshmen and sophomores the last couple of years and taking lumps. This year is the payoff.

Couldnt agree anymore, the district will come down to the Franklin vs. Brentwood series. I think Franklin takes 2 from Brentwood and wins the district. Simply because, Franklin has more pitching then Brentwood. Besides Shelton Brentwood doesnt have a good arm. sure Brentwood can hit, but Franklin can hit too. They will have guys step up this year that will hit the baseball and dont be surprised in May if Franklin's playing in a sub-state game. bigdaddydee
you can never count out any of the teams besides hillsburro. As with indy last year, they won the district, but a surprise came from franklin to win the district tournament. Ravenwood can compete with them, IF Ben Brock is back and healthy. Kid can throw the ball. Saw him sophmore year touching 90.
