NBA, ESPN uncaring?

Has anyone seen the NBA, ESPN national TV schedule for the 2002-2003 season? It is, politely saying, uncaring of the high school activities, especially on Friday nights. TNT in past years changed their format because of conflict with Friday night high school sports. Please, to anyone who care to watch NBA on TV, do not watch the games on Friday Nights until you get home from supporting your high school team of choice. The high school players need your support at games more than these multi-millionaires (NBA).

The NBA is setting a bad example for our youth. I never watch the NBA. I guess I am too old school, but I am all about team and not individuals acting crazy. Sorry, but I will always be old school where there is admiration for your opponent's ability and there is really a team concept. High school basketball is the purest basketball there is. That is why I love it. :D

These are great replies. I don't watch the NBA but the playoffs. But, I would hope, whoever is reading this board and watches the NBA, that they will support their high school sports first. The NBA is going mostly Tuesday through Friday. This is during most of high school activities. The season schedule for the NBA on Sundays is very scarce, where they need to be.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
