Hey Glover - have you seen SC practice any this spring? I haven't had a chance to see them.

I got to see the first part of the scrimmage with Watertown yesterday - SC was up 4 to 1 when I had to leave. Manning, Stevenson, williams all had a good scrimmage. Several baseball players did not scrimmage - all started last year, so they didn't miss a great deal. 3rd team QB played the whole scrimmage - a freshman who has very little, really no experience, did a very good job. I was impressed with him - the first play threw a 70 yd. TD pass. I Heard he threw another TD pass later in the scrimmage (55 yds). Owls have several offensive weapons. Watertown has a very good QB and a couple good running backs. Also, several good looking linemen. They played hard. Don't know how many players they lost last year, but they should be in good shape next year. Biggest problem with Watertown is that they are in the same region as Trousdale County, Gville and Friendship.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
