After seeing your teams in Spring, how do you feel the district will play out?

Polk (always tough, but haven't heard any hype from Benton)

Central (faster, bigger, stronger, more experienced)

Sequoyah (???)

Meigs (reloaded?)

Sweetwater (???)

 

 

Could be a toss-up, who knows for sure?

Heard that Derrick has thrown quite a few off team for discplinary reasons. I admire his courage. Still you are right Polk is always tough.

Well not sure if its dead, theres just so much unknown.

Polk County, graduated around 18 seniors, then (from what I've heard) Coach Davis dismissed a few kids from the team. Think they had a scrimmagge against, maybe, Tyner, not sure of the score.

Conflicting stories on the Central scrimmage with Grace (I think), maybe someone can help there?

Sweetwater played to a 2-2 tie with Wartburg Central.

Sequoyah scrimmaged Soddy Daisy and G-P.

Heard nothing from Meigs County?

Always glad to read your posts. Polk Co has very few players on the team. However, those few will play hard for Coach Davis and will play as a team

No doubt Polk County (Wingman's alma mater) will be tough, no matter the numbers that Davis has.

Spring is really tough to judge, most athletes are playing spring sports.

I agree.

 

I can speak for MC. Once again as I have stated earlier Central returns the core of their team. They lost a linebacker/FB who was a great person and was a very positive influence for the team. They also lost 2 linemen. There have been some welcome additions to the team along with a returning backfield. Most of the starters last year were sophmores. It is hard to tell dumdum of what they will be, but this team does have the potential to be very good. Again who knows is the question, I can only say the potential is there. This is the most talented bunch that MC has put on the field since Goodin's first year. Baring injury I expect a winning season from this blue bunch this year.

Here is a question for ya, who does each team open the season with and whats your predictions? McMinn Central opens with McMinn County (I think), Sequoyah vs Rockwood, not sure about Polk, Meigs and Sweetwater?

They do have some good players returning,Let's just see if they have the drive it takes to win.The one you speak of about being a good person,Your right.He is a good person,Just not a good football player.Too tell you the truth,Him and several others were just awful and not very good leaders on the field when it come to playing football.
