District 4-AAA

Farragut vs Jefferson County a close one. Farragut won 47-43, I am surprised this score was this close, Farragut may not dominate district 4 as I thought earlier. District 4 may be dominated by a sleeper team, maybe from Blount County. Should be some good ball games to come.

Injuries can hurt any team; I hope the injuries don't cause teams to lose what they should win. Heritage should be back to full strength in a couple of weeks.

I will say Farragut did not have the best win in LC but every year at that gym has been close and they still make it to sub state..... Any win at LC is a hard win.. They seem to find the best referee's in the district. One of them I had never seen before and the other was a middle school referee. Good try though and in the past when the second game is played at Farragut it's never a close one.

A little early to be talking about Sub State. Since you bring it up, Sub State is where it will end for Farragut, assuming they will be number 1 or 2 in District 4. As of now I would say it is wide open as well. They will not beat Science Hill. Farragut has lost to them for several years now, and Farragut had a stronger team than this years team. They will be lucky to win out district 4.

FYI, they beat Science Hill during the summer and went to Morristown West last night and won by 11. The only mention of sub state was that they still made it each year, when they won at LC, regardless of how sloppy it was . I let them do the talking on the floor not on this website.

Clam down, good for them they beat Morristown West. Well you may not like it, but District 4 is up for grabs. They may have beaten Science Hill in summer ball, but in sub state where it REALLY counts, Farragut will not beat Science Hill. Start looking at Science Hills scores, then you will understand.

Nothing to calm down about? Just posting the truth.... Never did say District 4 wasn't up for grabs, anyone can be beat on any given night. Farragut is a good team and will continue to fight for every win. To much talent and heart. Even on their sloppy games they still have a "W". With early injuries the lady's had to readjust but they always have someone to come off the bench to make the play.

I spoke with one of our dads and he told me that they played twice this summer and split, but as ball said, you have to win when it counts and my last scoreboard watching shows SH 2 Farragut 0 in the all important game called sub state. I am not so sure you will even make it to sub state this year. If I was you guys I would try not to come visit Johnson City again in March.

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
