I know Troy coached at SP and helped with workouts but I can tell you that its totally different now than at any point during his tenure. But I guess you guys know whats going on... Has Coach Stone been back up there to keep everyone informed of the goings on again?

Old Pirate, like most folkes don't know what goes on in the weight house in Jasper,at the Speedway or any other program. It is usually detected when a feller runs into a youngon. Zone Pirate was close for a while and kept folkes updated and sounds as if you have been hanging around the weight room in Jasper now. Anyhow it is a must and OP ain't sure the Pirates is getting a full dose either?

The warriors will be improved a lot in 2012. Coach Boeck is a good weight room leader, but it sounds like Coach Mac is even better. You seem to have a lot of insight within the program. I trust in your judgement that it is going to be a good year for Marion.

Ambassador, I am a realist, and I have never said that they will be world beaters. They will have a better work ethic, a better attitude, and better leadership. Thats not a knock on CTB, but more of a compliment to Coach Mac. Now whether that produces results on the field is yet to be seen. They should have a good senior class as well as some very promising young players that can help build this program back up. But they have a lot of work ahead of them...

OP has wished many times The Valley would return to an area hotbed for good solid football.

Me too, OP... But even when MC is not in the playoffs, I still support the rest of the valley unlike many others on here. Heck, I have been to more SP playoff games in the last 5 years than any other team and almost as many basketball games.

Bill has hung up the whistle. I don't know much about the going-ons down in Jasper these days I have a new job in the northern part of the county. Good luck to the young fellers wearing the purple and white. I am sure some of the coaches from down that way are on this thread however.

Bill thanks for getting that McCurry man to turn in his survey for my Murphy Fair book. I know you had a hard time making that Beck man do this, but I am glad you got that McCurry man to do this.
