Ya'll might be able to start the season at 1-4 maybe 2-3 with a chance to win 4 going down the back stretch. But i don't think 5-5 will get you a playoff spot in 3a. popcorneater.gif Also heard today that ya'll are dropping Glencliff next year...and TC contract with KY will be up...why don't you go ahead and tell that Harris fella to give ole coach creasy a call and see if we can get ya'll back on our whoopin list. hungry.gif

I'm not talking about Macon Co. here Dookie. I'm talking Westmoreland. I'm thinking at least we'll go 1-9 with Macon on our schedule. Have ya'll learned your lesson with betting the house on a football coach up there yet? We decided to stay local from now on. I here ya'll had about 20 players out for spring up there. For a school that has 1000 kids, sure dont look like anybody wants to play football. I cant blame um though. When you cant pay a coach enough money to stay at a place it must be real bad.

I'd love to see it slim. I always did love the Trousdale Co. game. I'll try to get that arranged. I'm sure coach Harris will listen to me as to who to schedule.

And just how long is the new guy gonna stay at Westy?...I'd say after a year of the old coach looking over his shoulder day in and day out, he'll be one and done. Just like the last guy! Good luck, little brother to the west!flower.gif

that's some big talk from someone who lost the last 2 years to macon.l would'nt be worried about macon coach'n problems as much as i would o-3 the last 3 years.

Westmoreland will be playing with a new QB this season. He looked good in the spring as well as some other new faces. I cant wait till the season starts. I think we can start out on a good foot this season and maybe make the playoffs.

does the QB have a name? his name would have to be Aaron Rogers to get Westy to the playoffs.

You'll know his name before long. Football season is just around the corner. Lets just say he never got to play a down with the varsity last season due to transfer rules. We have another impact player in the same situation. They could not play last season due to moving schools. Both are juniors and both can make big differences on the field. QB and Corner. The other LB and FB/TE.

Hey Postie - Is the RB that transferred Gallatin still playing? He looked to be a very good player.

Yes. I'm assuming your talking about Patrick French. He had a good spring. We also have another good player back that got released from the team last year that can be a good player in my oppinion. I hear we have a little bad news though with the QB. He hasnt passed his physical according to the paper today. We do have a good player to step in for him though by the name of Justice Graves. D.J. Smith was the QB I'm reffering to as not passing his physical. He transferred last season from Portland. In junior high Smith led his team (Portland West middle school) to an undefeated season. This kid is tough as nails and has a good attitude according to some of the players and coaches I have talked to. He done pretty darn good in the spring on offense and defense. I hope his physical turns out alright. I really am excitied for the upcoming seasons up here in MOtown. I coached alot of these kids in Pewee such as Justice Graves, Mason Scruggs, Michael and Bradley Evans and I really think they can have some good years. We have some excellent returning players like Lane Troutt and Michael Johnson in the back field that can have some impact on the playing field. Look for J.C. Fitz to be a big presence on the defensive line. Fitz was having a dominating summer practice last season but did not get to play due credits. He is a beast in the middle at nose guard. All in all we return a FB(Michael Johnson) that played and had big games last season. Lane Troutt who started at tailback and wing last season. If D.J. returns he can be bigtime in my oppinion at QB. We also have several recievers that can catch and run with the ball. Wyatt Carter can play QB, or reciever. Look for Bradley Evans to see some time at Tight End and make some plays. His brother Mike can catch the ball too. We did lose one heck of a player last season in Jordan Champion who played linebacker and swapped time with Johnson at FB but we have our other starting linebacker back(Lane Troutt). Patrick French has been playing the other linebacker along with Bradley Evans. I think we will be solid at the LB position. Look for Spencer Hodge to have a good year as well. He also had to set for the first half of last season. Coach Harris has been practicing the heck out of these boys this year and is bringing a fire back to the program that we desprately needed. He was a good replacement from what I'v seen through the spring and winter workouts to this point. He is bringing the discipline that coach Kelly has had for so many years along with him in his coaching style but also adding a fire that reminds me of our former assistant coach and defensive coordinator Mark Nelson. I think he is what we need up here in Motown. Time will tell though. Edited by Mr. Postman1

    • The people need our help!
    • Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.
    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
