Macon County 2012 Season

I had been told they where going to be just bad this year, but after watching them they were a little better than I had imagined them to be. However, with teams like Westmoreland and Greenbrier improving Jo Byrns is the only team I can see them winning. They won't come close to Smith, TC, Livingston, White House, Goodpasture, and Dekalb..

once again i will be outta state for most, if not all season this year. whats the word for the comin season for the tigers?

bad, several starters are injured. Lots of younger guys getting quality playing time, and a small team. Not a good formula for success.

Well this years senior players are starting this season with coach #3 under their belts. Macon County has alot of potential. But it depends on how the coaches decide to utilize the talent that is there. I hope to see this team have a split season within the next few years.

Defense looked good tonight, especially in the first half. Offense was the usual, never moving the ball very well until they change things up because they had to at the end of the game. Last years defense would've given up 30+ points to that Jo Byrns team tonight.

I wouldn't read to much into the D tonight. Jo Byrn's offense is garbage. Offense has been the strong point for the last 3 seasons with MC, until this year. This Jo Byrns offense wouldn't score 30 pts on a good Jr high team. No silver lining tonight. Just a bad all around post. Try harder.

Hey everybody, well haven't seen a game since I graduated in '04. But it is sad to hear how the program has went down so much and all the coaching changes, but I'm hoping things turn around, I plan on attending some games this year, go tigers.

Well I said this would be the only game that MC would have a chance at winning. Sycamore will be there next best chance but with that game being at Sycamore I just don't know about it.

 

Last years Macon team only give up 7 points on defense last year to Jo Byrns, so I wouldn't look to much into only giving up 7 points to Jo Byrns this year. The last few years Macon has a had a top notch offense but a sorry defense. What I saw out of Macon is that they're very little for a 4a school.

Man when I played we had the best defense and an awesome offense we where really good.
