K2ruth
The two top teams in Knoxville met tonight at Hardin Valley to see who would be the district champions. Both were undefeated and this was for the championship. AC won for back to back championships. The HV Libero was dominant, and did all she could to try and lead her team but her teammates couldn't keep AC from dominating at the net. Reagan must have had fifty digs because the HV middle block was no where to be seen. In the end her brilliant defense was not enough as AC had too many weapons, and owned the net. Still, HV will be a hard team in the tourney. If Reagan's teammates will match her intensity a trip to state is possible. Congratulations to AC for another perfect season. They are the smallest AAA school in TN, having less than half of some of their opponents ( they only play 7 players) but their team defense and intensity fuels the best offense in the area. Both teams represented Knoxville volleyball well.

What numbers do you base this claim on? Last time TSSAA did reclassifications in 2008, Anderson Co. had 1150 while Sullivan South had 1094 and Sullivan Central had 1068. (This was also the last year AC went to state playing AA with >1100 students.) TSSAA reclassification numbers for this year aren't out yet, but South is down to 982 and likely to be AA next year. sshsvbdad09
TSSAA numbers for reclassification this fall are out: Anderson County 1032 Sullivan Central 1017 Livingston Academy 1006 Craigmont 1002 St. Benedict 982 Sullivan South 978 They may end up there after reclassification, but AC is clearly NOT yet the smallest school in AAA as there are two schools in district 1AAA smaller than them now.
