Indian
Not everything is a conspiracy to try and make things tougher for Signal or better for other teams, not even last year's mess...CCS and Notre Dame are kept together because they're a good match, more than likely. Same for Howard, Tyner and Brainerd-I've read or heard that four years ago they requested to be kept in the same district instead of any going to 5-AA or 7-AA. Red Bank and Hixson, also a good match and old rivalry, and Signal would be a better match for Red Bank than CCS or Notre Dame would be. Jet Pride
I could see Stone Memorial going to 5A. Then you will see Grace Christian move up to 3A and would land into Alcoa district. Then I can also see Anderson County moving down to 4A. If that happens you might see this 4AA Alcoa Anderson County Austin-East CAK Fulton Grace Christian Scott 5AA Kingston Loudon McMinn Central Meigs County Polk County Sequoyah Sweetwater
sls
Someone please explain why the T$$AA is only concerned about football classifications? I listened to B Childresslast week in an interview on classifications. Only football was spoken of. I have never understood why we have at least 50 more basketball teams in the state of TN, than football and 6 football classes and only 3 basketball. The one argument I have heard is travel, which is bull snot, as with smaller districts you could play the poeple you choose to play in your area, as you would have more open dates. Jet Pride
Dang Jet, that's a pretty loaded 4AA... It all depends if Knoxville Central drop down also I say Austin-East and Fulton would stay in 3-AA
theobserver
I would think they would want to be with la and york with whom they have a long stsnding rivalry in basketball. Staying in the central time zone makes travel a lot easier for the other sports too. why do you assume cumb. co would go west. really doesn't matter where you request tssaa does what they want to. Stone requested to go west 4 yrs ago with york livingston etc because of time zone and look where they are. If they move up and you move down what makes you think you would just not switch districts. Stone currently has 6 teams in the district, they will not move you guys into a district with 7 or 8 teams and leave the other one with 5 if stone moves up. just my take on things.
