BirdistheWord
Yeah i kind of figured Tapp would be allowed to stick around pretty much as long as he wants. Truth of the matter is he is like 46-83 as a head coach at Harriman "numbers may be off a little". If he was hired in 2001? I mean to of had some of the talent he has had in those years and to have lost 83 games? 11 years to turn a program around is ample enough time to do so, Its time for him to go! You also got remember Harriman is not same like it was in the 90's. The school has went from having 500 kids in the 90's to around 300 today

The school has went from having 500 kids in the 90's to around 300 today That is true, but when dropping to 1A and the talent he had from say 2006-2010 those 5 years, those shown.. only one quarter final appearance and still lost to Kingston every year and only beat Rockwood once.. There has been an abundance of athletes in the mid 2000s
BirdistheWord
Harriman went from playing with Alcoa, Loudon, Sweetwater, and AE to playing Coalfield, Sunbright, and that whole crew.. SO i think that arrugment is irrelevant. LESS kids BUT LESSER quality teams..
bigstick#1
I HAVE SEEN HARRIMAN PLAY A LOT OF THE LAST TEN YEARS AND IT SEEMS LIKE NOT ONE THING HAS CHANGE ITS THE SAME PLAYS THE SAME OUT OF SHAPE PLAYERS THATS IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN... I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HARRIMAN JUST BE LIKE A ROCKWOOD NOTHING GREAT JUST WIN 6 OR 7 A YEAR AND MAKE THE PLAYOFFS BUT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AS LONG AS HE IS THERE AND SORRY HARRIMAN FANS HE ANT GOING ANYWHERE
bluedevils3563
I agree completely with you bigstick I am hoping more fans will stand up and call for his job. I mean kids are leaving the school area just to play some where else because he cannot coach the talent he has. It is quite scary if he would coach the talent he has and they would win games easily. If I recall when Julian Goins was there as the QB he had loads of talent around him and they won what 8 games? Then when that boy that went to UK was there they didn't win but 6 or 7 there was an abundance of talent there. I believe it is time for him to wake up and move on go back to oak dale or something cause you cannot win at harriman TRAVIS TAPP
BirdistheWord
Whats sad is the administration knows that Travis will not turn the program around but he will continue to stay, and the kids will keep flowing to Kingston like the did in the 60's 70's 80's and Kingston will be the power again.. Which is ok by me considering im a huge Kingston fan BUT i just hate seeing this for a school... SAD
olerockyrebel
You would like to think, out of respect for the program that he would humble himself. If he would just look in the mirror and realize this program is going nowhere under his lead and realize it's time to hang it up! The days of getting blown out by every rival is getting old and flat out pathetic, some fans are ignorant enough to be satisified. Most with even the slightest of sense about football aren't satisfied and they shouldn't be!

olerockyrebel
But here's to hoping that next year we can be at least competitive and hold a .500 record!
