Congrats LA. You guys played a flawless game. If we had of held onto the ball that first drive and scored instead of fumbling on the ten. I think it would have been a different game. Would we have won? Probably not. LA was just. Too good. I don't know how you guys lost to white house. Bad calls or not.

The good thing is, this may have humbled our guys a bunch and taught the coaches something. Obviously not being tested on the road This year hurt us. Good luck to you guys in the playoffs. I have a feeling we might see you again!

Go Tigers!

Yeah I'm righ here in the corner of the end zone and both of those plays where 15-30 ft from me and Sonni got mauled both times. They were easy calls. It's obvious the DBs have been told to not let him have an easy catch.

Despite giving up scores both drives. Our defense has not played bad. I give the credit to LA. I am surprised we haven't given up a few big plays. The one run by Hayes was a great run but it did appear Puckett got dragged down just as he was trying to cut him up. I give him credit anyway because the two plays before he complained to the officials that he was being held. So they may have been paying a little closer attention.

Each team had the ball twice. (LA did get it back with :40 or so left and McCoin got stopped for a 5 yards loss so LA let the time expire.) LA is doing a good job of keeping our defense on the field and our offense off the field.

This second half should be great. Phillips has had several huge runs. As many or more than McCoin I would guess. The passing game hasn't really got going yet. Molander caught a huge pass over the middle and got killed but hung on to keep the drive alive and give us our first score. If we can get the passing game going this first drive and tie it up. It should be a very good/close game the rest of the game.

Go Tigers!

Your 2nd half didn't go the way you hoped. La had several big plays & Mccoin left Phillips & rest of dekalb in the dust. Yardage between the two not even close. As said earlier if you dont know Reagan, Linder, best two defensive players on field you will. Puckett not even close! My prayers for Phillips, hope he is ok.

Someone tell me who has the best quarterback, running back, and lineman in the Upper Cumberland? You guessed it, LIVINGSTON ACADEMY! Someone PLEASE say "DeKalb didn't come to play," "DeKalb was sick," "DeKalb is scared of fireworks," or ANY OTHER excuse they might have. The fact of the matter is this...the best team in district 8-AA now has their crown. Oh, stat people...look up the stats please. McCoin...226 yards...on the ground.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
