likearock
Not much focus on this game but it appears the winner should be headed to the playoffs with the loser heading to the basketball courts. This game could throw a shift in the overall quads and will play a major impact tonight when the TSSAA guru's begin sharpening their pencils. midtnmale
If Lipscomb wins little will change for teams on the bubble. If Stratford wins (which I doubt) not only will Lipscomb be out, but the Spartans' entry will likely take a spot from a "more deserving " team. From a Maplewood point of view, a Lispcomb win would give the Panthers second place in the district, and add another team with 50% or more wins to their resume. A Stratford win would give Stratford second in the district. Maplewood would likely get in as a lower-seeded wildcard.

Reminds me of a scene in the movie western "Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and Richard Harris. When Clint Eastwood's character "Will Munny" has Gene Hackman's character "Little Bill' on the floor, and ready to finish him off. Little Bill says, "I don't deserve to die this way". Will Munny tells him - "deserves got nuthin to do with it".
