I also forgot maryville was in 4a a few years back....i Would have to say a few would have went to the rebels

 

yeh give or take. its also safe to say Alcoa could have won 6A in 2010. Because Maryville won state in 2010 in 6A with their only loss of the year being against Alcoa.

2009 for that matter as well. Maryville may very well of gotten beat in the state championship that year to Whiteatation by ten. But their only other loss was to Alcoa and by 17.

Yea and also Alcoa used to be in 2a haha but if 3a had always had the teams that are now 3a ....3a Would have 7 out of 10 gold balls

Haha i still remember a time my freshman and sophomore year when other teams won in the same classification as Alcoa. like 2002 when Lipscomb beat Mitchell and in 2003 when Huntingdon beat Lipscomb. Since then its been all Alcoa and now CAK.

If we're talking about which schools among 3A and 4A would have won the gold ball over a number of years, then I will go with 3A. But as far as which class is better top to bottom then I'm still sticking with 4A.

Since reclassification 3A has had 33 district winners while 4A has had 31 district winners. So it has been pretty even across the board in that sense.

i do. CAK scraped by twice on Alcoa.Greeneville beat them 42-14. closest game they had was 42-21 against Giles. i am unbiased towards all east teams but i still gotta say Greeneville would have ran the table last year in both classifications
