2012 Eagle Challenge - the other TN dual tournament this weekend

Eagle Challenge Duals at Seymour High School Saturday December 8th, 2012

 

Pools with seeds. Seeding Criteria - Last year's tournament place, match-up request by coaches, team point finish at Knox Catholic Invitational last weekend (7 of the 16 teams were there)

Wrestling starts at 9:30am, everyone gets 4 matches, top team in each pool will get a 5th. Finals will likely start around 4:00pm

 

Not sure how many nationally ranked wrestlers will be in the tournament, but there will be no shortage of headlock or cowcatcher attempts.

how exactly does each team get 4 matches if there are only 4 teams in each pool? i thought this was how pools would be ran.

where would the 4th match come from? just wondering because every team would have wrestled eachother.

newcoach215, lets put cordova as #1,austin east as #2, Grace Christian as #3, and W.B. as #4 of pool a. the matchups would be for #1 would be 1.v 2., 1.v 3., 1. v 4. Then whover comes out in first of that pool would be in thhe dual "semis" against the first place of another pool. same withthe other two pools... then after the semis, what usually happens??? THE FINALS... even if you come in last in your pool, the coaches hosting the tournaments will most likely match you up same as they would with the 1st place team some kids get mat time

Good tournament win for Greeneville and the win over Stone Memorial was solid. 9-0 start to the season is a promising start for the Greene Devil season. Upcoming match against Jeff County should be a good one.
