Good to hear someone elses predictions for once! I agree with your 9. I however must throw in Lozano, Sahutske, Badon, and Russell.

I am predicting 14 state placers from Region 5 out of 84 total, which is 16.7%...there are 8 regions so the average would be 12.5% if everything was equal.

 

 

WOW AGAIN ! ! ! There will be 32 boys going into the state tournament. 12 to 16 of the boys

are just excited to make the cut. The other 16 to 20 want to bring something home.

6 of those boys will have enough and do enough to place.

 

I'm just not that optimistic. I see 8 with the possibility of maybe 3 more if they get

a weak sided bracket. The state tournament is known for brackets that are not

evenly weighted. I've seen many great wrestlers battling on one side of a bracket

while weaker wrestlers advance on the other side? This can make for a blow out

final with stronger wrestlers getting 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc...

 

Good luck to the region, but I believe it's going to need a lot more than luck to

place 14.

without naming names (I'd never get em right anyway) it's those mlk's, Antioch,.Mgk's,HW's, and gabe's committed Kurds of Ov that can send shockwaves through brackets, not to mention the indy's, RW's, centennial's and Franklin surprises.
