Biggun
A friend of mine in D2 said that a CBHS wrestler was DQ'd in their match with SBA. Can anyone confirm or deny? Any idea how that will impact CBHS at the state duals if it's true?

Biggun
If it was a DQ, why doesn't it fall under the unsportsmanlike conduct rule that would impose a two game (match) suspension?
memphissoccerpimp22
He wasn't DQ and he is eligible.. He did lose the match but was under medical forfeit..
hoosierdad
I believe he would only been out for 2 matches if it was flagrant. I believe this was only unnecessary roughness. I could be wrong but I believe the wrestler has to sit out the next 2 matches if it was flagrant. Can anybody expand on what happened if this indeed happened? silverpie
Only a flagrant misconduct, or perhaps an ejection for two team-point unsportsmanlike penalties, in wrestling equals "ejection" in other sports. (Technically, this would be classified as an injury default, although a kind of backwards one in that the injured wrestler wins.) Note that a DQ for four penalties is also not an ejection--it's no different from fouling out of a basketball game.

oldblazedad
Sommers I thought your younger son was wrestling but I have not noticed his name any where. I watched the Region duals and he was not starting. Who did he lose his wrestle off to. The Bros will be fine
Sommers
Good question... Hunter my #4 son... Perhaps similarities to Jr Deck @ SD or Sr Simpkin (sp?) @ Cleveland... He and two other Blaze seniors (only 3 on team) have had some set backs and not a whole lot of mat time this year esp with this young-talented Blackman team. He certainly can make things happen now, IF he revs it up another notch (HALF throttle IMO will qualify). If not, I've already got 8 grand kids coming up. Sommers
He can wrestle 138 or
oldblazedad
Can he beat Freshman John Olivieri or Sophomore Josh Feuerbacher. I has seen Josh around for a while but the Olivieri kid is new. Did he transfer in from another state. Senior vs Freshman 99% of the time is won by the Senior. He can wrestle 138 or 145 Edited January 30, 2013 by oldblazedad
