I made a top fifteen, since I couldn't narrow it down to ten.

 

1) Eli King - Nashville Catholic

2) Colton Landers - Higher Calling

3) Knox Fuller - Bradley Pride

4) Colton McMahan - Halls

5) Sammy Evans - Alcoa

6) Emory Holcomb - Soddy Daisy (I know Sells got him at state. The match was 3-2, and I hear Emory was throwing up all day.)

7) Ethan Dendy - Lafayette

8) Jack Shrader - Grassland

9) Zackrey Wilkins - Mt. Juliet

10) Brock Herring - Eagles

11) Matthew Sells - Murfreesboro Elite

12) Gavin Hutchens - Pigeon Forge

13) Sean Sesnan - Nashville Catholic (Might not weigh enough next year.)

14) Joshua Ortiz-Derrick - Jackets

15) Matthew Helm - Mt. Juliet

I'll edit it. I assumed he was in 8th grade because I seen him wrestle in the schoolboy division last year at freestyle state. The kid might be at the top next year.

If you are placing the kids in a ranking order Josh Ortiz would have to be one of the top kids along with Evans. Evans took 2nd @ Philo and Ortiz also placed high @ Philo. Philo is considered by many to be the toughest middle school tournament in the country. Eric Hong only placed 4th this year.

Eli King just lost to Colton Landers at the Iton Man Tournament today

How was the King Landers match? Evans and Boykin both went 8-0 in Iowa.

King was up 4 or 5 going into the 3rd. Picked Bottom. Landers put him in a cradle, and got the come from behind pin. Very good win for Landers.

I agree if you are going off of who did the best in middle school. I picked my ranks off of how I thought they would do as a Freshman.

I don't know where Evans is going in highschool but if he stays at Alcoa I think he should win small school state.

It looks like Fuller beat Landers, Landers got the best of King and King defeated Fuller. Sounds like King may have gotten sloppy on the bottom against Landers and got caught which happens. The key is how King responds to a loss to a Tennessee kid. This could wake up a giant and make someone even better.
