Spoke with someone within LHS adminstation.

 

Caven and Atwood are both on the short list and should be contacted soon. Think LHS has a better opportunity to land Caven as he is already in WCS school district and could keep current teaching job.

LHS is also needing to add a football coach to Coach Harp's new staff..........so they would have interest in both candidates from that perspective. Don't know how it will shake out, but SC might be a good fit for OCoordinator/Offensive Assistant and HBC from what I'm hearing.

 

Since Atwood teaches at FCS, I would suspect he would be a lot tougher pull.

Rumor has it that he will soon be in the mix to purchase the Cherokee Steakhouse & Marina, thus providing ole Doyle with a new outlet for my corn renderings on the north end of Wilson County.

My understanding is that both are on the list to contact. I can not confirm nor deny that either have put in for the job. This is from the administration at LHS. From what I understand, it might be after the weekend before anyone is officially contacted, but for sure they are on the list.

On Purvis.......sources indicate that he has put in for the position and will be in the mix.

 

I don't think Shelton will be a viable candidate from what I've gathered. He lives in Kentucky, and don't think he will want to move or commute to Lebanon.

If Purvis has applied then it is a no brainer. Proven winner at a high level. I think Atwood and Caven would would both do great jobs but Purvis has proven himself already.

As with 2minutedrill, I can't confirm or deny that either has been contacted.

However, through a source in the Wilson Co School System,I know their names have been bandied about and are on the war room wall so to speak.
