Powell @ CAK - Week 1

Uncharacteristic drops by receivers and missed opportunities due to errant passes helped keep the CAK passing attack last week to a low altitude by CAK standards, but it was still good enough to win comfortably against an opponent that was not up to the level of what we will see in Powell.  Like others have said, this game can go either way.  I like CAK's coaching and their offensive scheme will give most teams trouble.  Looks like the Warriors have a nice running threat to compliment the passing game, but they just don't use it all that often.  Defensively, CAK looks improved, but certainly not dominating.  They will be challenged to handle the speed of the scat back for the Panthers and the athleticism of the QB.  The depth of the Panthers may help, but CAK is a platoon team and that should minimize the depth disadvantage they face.  Cliche....turnovers,penalties and special teams may be the difference in this game

All who wish to attend should get there early, the stadium is small and parking is limited.

A reeling Powell Panther squad travels to Christian Academy for their first ever meeting this Friday night. CAK is very young, but they got the season started off right, taking care of Franklin Road Academy on the road last week.

Any early predictions?

I am very concerned about Powell's team speed.
